I've been having this issue as well and have been looking for a way to fix it for a while. It's really annoying to be watching a video on Youtube and the for a brief moment the taskbar will pop-up every 10-30 minutes. I've tried all these solution, evento the point of a clean OS and the problem still persist even with a clean installing. So this solution of restarting windows explorer, Auto hide taskbar or create another user account don't work, but it seems to only be an issue with Windows 10.I created a Duel-boot drive and have Window 7 and Windows 10. I've been trying to solve another issue with Tumblr with post on my dashboard not scroll infinitely for post from day or weeks ago. It the same on every Windows 10 device I have in my house(3Desktops, 3 laptop and 2 tablets). Gmod tf2 player models. Post would just stop, when post should continue to load in forever, but my android phone worked fine with the app.Windows 7 everything works without an issue, no taskbar randomly popping up every 10-30 minutes, no issues with post on my dashboard loading in on Tumblr, everything work perfectly. It just goes to show how great a OS Windows 7 is and why Microsoft shouldcontinue to support this OS longer then 2020. I don't hate Windows 10 as much as Windows 8/8.1, but Windows XP and Windows 7 are the best OS's put out by Microsoft to date. These small issues need to be looked into and seeing it is directly tied to Windows 10 and how it is interacting with hardware and software alike (Google Chrome, Duel monitor setup, media player classic just to name a few). Microsoft needs to sit down andlook at the behavior of the taskbar on duel monitors and with browsers. I have report the issue to Tumblr I'm having with the Dashboard issue, hopefully they'll find out how to fix that. Until then I'm sticking with Windows 7 until these issues have been resolved. I know it's been a little over 3 months since I posted anything beyond trying to resolve this issue, but that was because the solutions giving to me from other forums and Microsoft wasn't helping. Taskbar In Fullscreen Youtube VideosChecking event viewer and trying to figure out if it wasan error that was intermittently causing the taskbar to appear while watching Youtube in full screen and even going to extents of clean installs of OS's to still be unable to find what was triggering the issue, until now.I was searching the web for something completely different when I stumbled upon a forum post of someone having a completely different issue. In the post he talked about steps he did to fix his problem and one program that he used called, 'Windows Focus Logger.' This program is a god send to event viewer, this showed exactly at the point of when I was watching a video what was stealing the focus and bringing the taskbar to the fore front of attention. It was a file in EPSON Status Monitor 3 called, 'etinvkae.exe.' I deleted all files within the folder with the same name and watch a 1 hour or more video's with not further interruptions from the taskbar while in full screen. So all this time it had been a file from Epson which goes to my printer. Now this didn't cause any problems with my printer as far as I know. I'm still able to print wirelessly. So once I hit a week of monitoring the situation and I'm 100% certain, I will be contacting by e-mail Epson to let them know that this file causes unknownissues within Windows 7 and 10 and should be correct. I just thought I should inform Microsoft of an issues from Epson just in case other run into the same issue and have an Epson printer. Thanks for the helpful info on the Epson Software. Although I did not have the file that you mentioned. And for some reason when I was running the logger it wouldn't trigger the taskbar. Just timing I guess. But it was still happening randomly at odd intervals.I simply went into monitoring preferences for the printer and turned off all notifications. And have not had any issues since. I believe that file is related to the low ink notification. Realizing I was low on a color, I replaced the empty cartridge and re-enabledthe notifications and after about 5 hours of viewing full screen video I did not have the taskbar come into focus! Thanks againfor pointing me in the right direction. Few suggestions for VLC:1. First, in the toolbar at top of VLC screen click on Video, and then check Fullscreen. If that doesn't work, go to steps 2. First, in your VLC Preferences, enable 'Advanced Video Settings' so that they show up in the little VLC Taskbar at the bottom of the screen (when you hover over the Taskbar while watching the video).3. Then enable the 'Fullscreen video output' function. To enable this link, you have to set it up in advance. Go to Tools, Preferences, Advanced Settings, Video, General video settings, and then check: 'Fullscreen video output.' Then, when starting to watch the video, hover your cursor over the Taskbar, and when it appears, click this box: 'Toggle the video out fullscreen.' The video should immediately go to full screen.By the way, another thought is that on most video sites, when watching some videos on line, (like in YouTube), there is usually a 'Full Screen' icon at the bottom-right of the lower taskbar on the screen. Ok, I think I have figured out the problem. I just watched a 21 minute video without the problem (this was impossible before). It seems that Windows Error Reporter or Problem Reporter was reporting a problem with a single application over 1000 times per 24 hours. Every time the problem reporter reported a problem it must have caused the video players to lose full screen focus and pop up the taskbar for a few seconds. I uninstalled the offending application and now it seems to have stopped. (The program was Orb Video Server - but I doubt that's important). Here's how to find out what application is causing the problem:1. Do a search in the Start Menu searchbar for EVENTVWR and open the exe file.2. In the middle, there should be a section called 'Summary of Administrative Events'. Click the + box in front of Errors.3. There should be a large amount of errors reported in the last 24 hours under Application Errors. Double click the Application Errors name4. Click on any of the Errors and in the grey description it should give a Faulting application name. That is your culprit application. You can either uninstall that application or I'm sure there is a way to turn the problem reporting off if you feel the application is important or is not actually causing errors.I don't know for sure if Orb was actually erroring or if Windows just said it was since it still worked fine, but uninstalling it did the trick and the problem reporting has stopped and so has the taskbar problem. Hope this helps. I have the same problem as funjum had, but when I checked in Event viewer I had no such errors during the time I watched video last time and the taskbar appeared. It appears every 5 minutes or so, across different media players. When looking in event viewer I did have quite a few entries under the Information heading, 7 during the last hour for example, all coming from Service Control Manager run by System. I sort of doubt that is the explanation for my problem, but then again I'm no expert.Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as this is really annoying!- Audun.
